Karen Brown Beveridge has been active in the autism community since her son was diagnosed with ASD at the age of three in 1997. As a founder of the Cure Autism Now Foundation Mid-Atlantic Chapter, she advanced the cause of neuro-diversity and acceptance along with fundraising for autism research. Karen currently serves on the Development Committee of The Treatment and Learning Center in Rockville, Maryland. Prior to her advocacy, Karen worked in the Government Relations Office of PEPCO in Washington, DC.

Karen is a native Washingtonian and graduated from the Holton-Arms School in Bethesda, Maryland, and Denison University in Granville, Ohio. She is the proud parent of Kelsey and Westin Beveridge and wife of Peter W. Beveridge, CEO of Beveridge Marketing LLC and founder of EyeBlack. She resides in Potomac, Maryland.
